Subject:Proposed Chorro/Broad Street Changes
As a residence on Lincoln near Broad street, i am completely against any of the proposed changes. I can say
that there is no such bicycle traffic that warrants even considering the cost and inconvenience to residents and
motorist these proposed changes would bring.
On Sunday, 8/13, i saw a total of 6 (SIX) bicycles in as many hours (6). None were on Broad,. 1 was on
Lincoln, 4 were on Chorro, 1 was on Peach. I did "not" see 1 bicycle driving downtown SLO that morning
between 9:30 and 11:15am. The "actua"l bicycle traffic is extremely low. Similar numbers
witnessed Monday and today, Tuesday.
I ask that the council provide in detail how exactly their bicycle traffic figures we obtained?
This would not only be a complete waste of money, but would cause several completely unnecessary
inconveniences to motorist and residents for no good reason.
