I strongly encourage you to uphold our City's Community Design Guidelines and deny the applicant's request for changes to your previously approved building colors and features. Please uphold staffs recommendation and require the applicant to abide by your original conditions of approval for this project. These conditions called for a cut -stone bulkhead and a contrasting paint scheme utilizing the colors oyster haze and city loft. The use of thee colors and the inclusion of the bulkhead would certainly go a long way in improving the aesthetic appearance and appeal of this building. The current dark grey color makes the building appear massive and monolithic. cannot understand how the applicant could flagrantly disregard your conditions of permit and utilize such a vastly different dark and dreary color and omit the inclusion of the bulkhead. I think it paramount you enforce and uphold the terms you stipulated and applicant agreed to at the time this project was approved. To do otherwise is to open the floodgates to every development that follows to use this as a precedent do go off and do as they please. Thank you. John Grady San Luis Obispo
