Hello,
I am writing on behalf of my support for the Avila Ranch Housing project. I am a young professional who graduated from
Cal Poly and was lucky enough to find a job and stay in this wonderful area. Unfortunately, I have been on the hunt for a
home to purchase for over a year. Being a single, young professional, there is nothing available that I can afford. It is
very frustrating when the housing market does not reflect the going salaries in the area, leaving room only for investors,
to purchase and rent out properties to college students. I have rented for the past 10 years and unfortunately, the rents
have gone up and the quality of housing has gone down.
The Avila Ranch Project would help in starting to solve the housing crisis for professionals like myself who would love to
build a life here on the central coast.
