Subject:Avila Ranch Project
To Whom It May Concern;
I am usually in favor of new development in the San Luis Obispo area. However this new project, Avila Ranch,
has not proposed an adequate traffic management and improvement plan so far. I have observed numerous
traffic accidents in the LOVR corridor due to the huge increase of traffic in this area. Traffic exiting the 101
Fwy and causing backups, due to congestion on LOVR, has caused accidents and some very close calls that
could have become serious or even fatal.
Therefore I propose halting the development of the Avila Ranch project until a better traffic flow design is
developed. Once traffic safety concerns are addressed, I see no other reason for denying this project.
