Subject:Support for Avila Ranch
Mayor Harmon and City Council Members - I am writing to support the approval of the Avila Ranch project.
The City needs more housing and this proposed project provides a range of product that will improve the
available housing stock.
This project works toward meeting the City’s goals of housing, multi-modal transportation, fiscal responsibility
and climate action with its efforts to be a net-zero community. Reducing the number of commuters to SLO will
help reduce green house gas emissions and allow more people to avoid using their vehicles. This in turn reduces
our need for greater vehicle infrastructure and maintenance.
I urge you to vote in favor of this project.
