Subject:Please deny night hiking on San Luis Mountain
Dear Mayor and City Council members,
The issue of night hiking on San Luis Mountain was addressed previously in a petition to the city council to keep the
current “one hour before sunrise and one hour after sunset” hiking policy. The petition was signed by over five hundred
people in support.
I urge you to keep the current policy and deny nighttime hiking. This is important for many reasons; this is a natural
reserve, not a city park and nighttime use will disturb the animals, the only time they have without the impact of
humans. Please help protect the resident animals on San Luis Mountain.
