Subject:Nighttime hiking and biking in open space
Dear Mayor Harmon and City Council,
I fully support ex-Mayor Jan Marx in her comments on the nighttime hiking and biking
policy. Please place this issue on the 2018 ballot or reject it outright. Remember that the
first priority for management of open space lands is "protection of existing wildlife and
natural habitat.." Opening SLO's natural spaces to nighttime use is directly contradictory
to that objective.
I urge you to reject the proposal.
