Subject:Pilot Program for evening activities
Council Members,
I appreciate that you are considering a pilot program for evening activities on Cerro San Luis.
I would support limiting access to our open space based on HOURS rather than sunrise or sunset.
The majority of outdoors people that would like evening access simply wish to be able to get off work and go for a one
or two hour ride/hike/run.
Those folks that are dedicated enough to get out on the mountain at these hours are likely to be invested in the
resource that is our open spaces. They are more likely to be respectful of their impact on the land, the neighbors, and
the wildlife.
I support allowing access on Cerro San Luis until 9pm in the evening as a pilot program.
