Dear Commisioners Wynn, Beller, Soll, Nemcik and Smith,
Thanks you for the chance to speak at the meeting last night.
Alas, my emotions got the best of me, and perhaps my message wasn’t as articulate as I’d intended.
Seeing the photos of this massive monstrosity absolutely blew me away, and I’m wondering how this project even got
this far?
It’s obviously too high for that location, dwarfing everything around it. Yet the developers mention parking, a
“public”view deck, name the alleys with cute “paseo”names, potential for “affordable housing”, and present their
project as something so amazing, that SLO just can’t exist without it. As if they are doing us a huge favor, when we all
know their only motivation is MONEY.
In my opinion, one can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig.
Please, l beg of you, stop this madness! Be brave and strong, and say “NO” once in awhile.
Don’t be so gullible to these manipulative developers.
Our SLO way of life is in peril, and in your hands.
