Comments to the City Council Regarding Community Choice Energy
1. The City should continue to pursue a CCE.
2. The City should pursue forming a new CCE with the possibility of other jurisdictions joining as a Plan A. The City
should follow the model of the Redwood Coast Energy Authority as it provides low risk and local control
benefits.
3. The City should keep open the possibility of joining the Monterey Bay Community Power as a fallback option if
creating our own CCE doesn’t make sense.
