Subject:Please support a CCE program for SLO
Dear Council member,
California is exposed to just about every climate risk so far identified by
scientists: coastlines, forests, agriculture, public health, and water supply
sources.
More dangerous and frequent droughts are expected within 30 years, and average
yearly temperatures are forecast to rise by 6 degrees F by end of century at our latitude.
California has more to lose by inaction and more to gain by staying in the forefront of
the renewable energy revolution than any other state.
A Community Choice Energy program in SLO will open up opportunities for
many more city residents to participate in this transition.
Let's keep San Luis Obispo a leadership city in a leadership state.
