Subject:Moving Forward with Community Choice Energy
We support the move of San Luis Obispo to cleaner renewable energy though the adoption of Community Choice Energy
and other local policies.
SunWork is a nonprofit solar organization that installs solar systems for home owners that have an average monthly
electric bill of less than $100 per month. We also install systems for small nonprofit organizations with the help of local
volunteers. We have installed over 500 systems in the San Francisco Bay Area and we recently expanding our nonprofit
service to San Luis Obispo and the surrounding county installing three residential solar systems in September.
We have seen the benefits of CCEs to the cities and counties that we serve in the Bay Area and we hope that San Luis
Obispo will move forward to offer its residence and businesses the option of a cleaner more renewable energy
source. In the Bay Area, CCEs are delivering cleaner energy at lower prices than PG&E.
Moving forward with the Community Choice Energy option is a win win for residence, business and municipal
operations.
