RE: Community Choice Energy
I add my voice in support of the proposal by SLO Clean Energy that the City of San Luis Obispo
form a Community Choice Energy program. Working toward a carbon free city by forming a
local CCE district is the right thing to do, both for the environment and for our local economy.
A second route to achieving the same goals would be to join the Monterey Bay Community
Power program.
I encourage the City Council to again put San Luis Obispo on the map as a forward-thinking,
trend-setting city. SLO has set some fine examples for other cities during the 50 years my
family has lived here: cleaning up San Luis Creek as it flows through the city and creating

Mission Plaza; banning smoking in public places; and adding eye-catching public art. Forming a
local CCE will again show the advanced thinking of our local government.
