Planning Commission members:
As you consider the updating of the Zoning Regulations please remember that the residents'
rights to public review and participation in proposed projects will be diminished or non-
existent. Neighborhoods, residents and even Advisory Bodies input will be severely
restricted.
One glaring example is the absence of street tree removal from review by the Tree Committee.
This is a fundamental of democratic governance and is being done under the guise of
streamlining the process. The result will be more power for the CDD, especially the Director,
and profit for developers.
Please do not further freeze residents out of the process. Thank you.
