Dear Commissioners,
I was so excited to hear that you will be considering approval of the Dodgeball Pilot Program. For the last two years, SLO
Dodgeball has provided a space for me to meet amazing people, get my heart rate up, and feel like a kid again. Because
of this group, I have felt more connected to my community and have had something to look forward to that is engaging
and healthy.
This group also helps local businesses because we often go out to close establishments after our games. We’ve been
struggling for some time to get this group sponsored by local business and by the CIty, and I believe that this program
will help the group grow and attract more awesome people that will ultimately help contribute to our local economy.
Please approve the pilot program so that the established SLO Dodgeball group can continue while benefiting from the
City’s support. The City’s program will provide the dodgeball community with a consistent schedule and the increased
publicity will make this fun physical activity available to even more community members.
