Tree Committee Members:
Please deny the proposed tree removal of two mature, healthy Ficus trees located at 949
Higuera Street.
The many tree removals downtown, and elsewhere, in San Luis Obispo has resulted in a
negative change in the charm of our City. Replanting small trees does not result in a healthy
environmental change when Climate Change is taken into consideration. Not only are mature
trees excellent for carbon sequestration, but for their habitat for birds and aesthetic value.
The two trees on the chopping block are not damaging the sidewalk and thank you in advance
for sparing their lives.
