Dear Mr. Davidson and Members of the Planning Commission of the City of San Luis Obispo,
As concerned members of the San Luis Drive neighborhood, we want to thank the Planning Commission for
their thoughtful response to our presentation of January 10, 2018.
We endorse the proposed revision of the 1989 Ordinance 1130, although we regret that the height limitation
and creek side setbacks were not included. We wish that the revisions had been in place at the time the
Monterey Hotel, aka La Cuesta Motor Inn, was reviewed. We anticipate that when the revisions are in place,
developers will recognize the resolve of the Planning Commission to adhere to the adopted revisions.
Thank you for the time and effort you have put into improving this critical protection of the community.
