Dear SLO Planning Commissioners,
I am emailing to advocate for San Luis Ranch housing. My husband and I both work in San Luis Obispo and have found it
difficult to buy a home here. We both work at Grizzly Youth Academy in a full time position as a counselor and case
manager. Even with our combined salaries we cannot afford reasonable housing for a family of five. When we heard
about San Luis Ranch we became hopeful that we would finally be able to purchase a home.
We want our children to be able to grow up in SLO and attend school here. The idea of having to commute in order to
buy a home is concerning. My husband and I do not want to be away from our children in emergency situations. At this
point we are renting in SLO and waiting patiently for an opportunity to become home owners.
Please consider our request to move forward with San Luis Ranch housing. Thank you for your attention with this
matter.
