Subject:Do you want Workforce Housing in San Luis Obispo?
Dear SLO city advisers,
The back bone of a healthy community is an active, trained and educated middle class. Good teachers in the
schools and essential medical
care givers like doctors and nurses and technicians in the hospitals. Also the police and fire fighters to protect
the citizens. These folks must
be able to find housing that they can rent or buy in order to provide essential services for the whole
community!
I have loved visiting the SLO area for 40+ years and we now have sons and their young families living and
working in the SLO area. I believe the city should strive to keep a healthy balance of citizens by allowing
development of “workforce housing”. Both of our sons are college grads and active in the community but may
have to relocate after 10 plus years.
Wishing you all good luck and may you make wise decisions,
Mrs. JJ Kallal
