Dear SLO Planning Commissioners;
I am a self-employed wedding planner, with a successful business, who has called San Luis Obispo home for more than
10 years now. I am recently divorced and working hard to make ends meet, renting a small apartment with my two dogs
in SLO. Finding affordable housing over the last 10 years has always been a challenge, especially with two dogs. I, like
many others, am in-need of affordable workforce housing and am being driven out by the folks who owns second and
third homes as rental properties, often renting to multiple college kids per unit and jacking up the rent. Please help! We
need affordable housing for folks like me who want to continue to live in the area and run successful businesses for
years to come. The health of our communities depends on it.
