Dear SLO Planning Commissioners,
My name is Abraham Lopez and this affordable housing project is extremely important to me. I work for the State of
California at California Men's Colony, and I have worked and lived in San Luis Obispo, CA for a year and a half now. Upon
moving here from Southern California, my wife and I found it difficult to find housing at an affordable rate. With my
paycheck being the only source of income to provide for my wife, 9 month old child, and myself, and with the high prices
of rent, it has been impossible to fulfill our dream of saving up to buy a home here in San Luis Obispo. We would not
want to live anywhere else. We have fallen in love with this community and there is not a better place I would choose to
raise my family.
This San Luis Ranch project may be the only hope we have in being able to buy a home in this lovely community.
Approval of this project would mean the world to us. Please consider our aspirations and those of the families of many
others when considering approval for this project. Thank you.
