Zoning Protection Cerro San Luis Wildlife Corridor
Commissioners:
There have been many city surveys over the past few years and on every one of them the Number 1 priority
of residents has been the protection of our natural open space and wildlife corridors. The city even put
that at the top of the list whenever they wanted more money from residents because the public relations
consultants the city hired told them that is what residents would agree to tax themselves for. That this ’S'
overlay is in any way in jeopardy would be a final slap in the face to the residents of this city. It would be your
own collective planning commission ‘coat’ of “(We) really don’t care, do u?”
You’d have to be in your own ‘bubble’ not to realize that the residents of this city have, by and large, given
up. Residents have been put-down at public meetings - with the mayor even blatantly walking-out on speakers
who don’t agree with her. Residents have been sent accusatory and insulting emails, and deliberately false
information.
The question now is how far down the structure of city governance does this wanton disregard for the residents
go? You will be showing us all when you vote on the entire length of the “S-Overlay on the entire Bressi
estate” corridor that is specifically designed to protect wildlife movement and their survival. I can only hope
that there is integrity left at some level of our government.
Sincerely,
