I am unable to make it but my wife will be again attending meeting tomorrow to get details about what the city is planning. I am concerned about the current area being zoned R1 that is adjacent to a creek, as well as the remainder of this area. It is unclear to me what any of this land is currently zoned, but I and many others feel very strongly that it should not be developed. This is currently open land with a single trail that allows hiking access. I and my family have seen numerous animals - coyote/jackal, deer, rabbits, numerous birds, etc. both along the creek and in the grassland. It is a travesty to develop this land when so much wildlife currently use it and the trail present allows for citizens to access. I fully realize that development occurs as the city grows, but developing this open area adjacent to the Cerro San Luis open space and restricting the space of all of the wildlife there is excessive. There are numerous other areas that could be developed. Ideally this land could be purchased by a land conservancy to absolutely prevent any development. In the interim, it should not be re-zoned in a manner that alows development. Frankly this land is special to the character of the city (it is the mountain the city is named after!) and used by innumerable animals. Ideally, none of this open space would be developed. Thanks for your time, Vijay George Resident of San Luis Obispo 2
