Dear Rachel,
I’ve lived in my home for over 40 years and love SLO.
But things are changing and LA developers are coming to our town and changing it.
I live and own 54 Benton Way 93405 and cross Foothill to go to Rite Aid that moved across the street over there.
It’s very hazardous to walk there and will be impossible when the looming apartment building is finished. Now the same
developer is going to build another high rise apt. building at the old McDonalds site. How much can Foothill and Chorro
take? The traffic and congestion and noise will disrupt our peaceful neighborhood.
I have a request for the developer: find a home for the mentally ill lady that resides at the McDonalds site that screams
her head off continually!
My welcome service provides new homeowners in SLO County a beautiful housewarming packet. They’re so happy to be
here but the developers are changing it before our very eyes.
The changes are not good and diminish the character of SLO!
