Planning Commission,
Please reject this project for failure to comply with our general plan and zoning regulations.
Staff asserts that this project is within the C C SF Foothill/Santa Rosa.
The boundary of this special focus area on the north side of Foothill may be extended west of Chorro street to include
one or more of the existing commercial properties. (i.e. currently Black Horse, abandoned McDonalds, and Cork ‘n
Bottle) upon request of the property owners. The Black Horse and Mcdonalds properties conform to the extension
provision.
As submitted this project includes two single family homes at 133 and 215 North Chorro. These two houses zoned
residential cannot be considered "existing commercial properties" nor are they contiguous to Foothill Blvd. ( see
General Plan 8.2.1, packet page 7, staff report page 4)
Based upon the facts you are unable to find consistency with our General Plan and zoning regulations.
Thank you for your serious review of this issue, among those raised by others, as this large project will have lasting and
serious consequences to the area not only to neighboring residents but those going to 2 elementary schools, students
and employees of Cal Poly and Cuesta, and those exiting or accessing Highways 1 and 101.
