Good morning all,
In light of another disaster affecting our neighbors, this time in Redding, and less than a year since the tragedies of
Ventura, Santa Barbara and Santa Rosa, I again question our safety as a similar community.
I feel this should be not only top priority with the Mayor and city council, but of the Planning Commission and ARC, with
any approvals of future developments.
Water supplies, fire fighting resources, evacuating large number of residents, safe egress from these large downtown
hotels, the off campus dorms on Foothill with power lifts...these should all be red flags for you.
A community should only grow as large as resources allow.
Pretending it can’t happen here, when it really is just a matter of when, not if, is irresponsible.
Thank for your heartfelt reflection on this issue,
Debbie Anthony
