Thank you. Planning Commissioners: I have lived in the Anholm neighborhood since 1969 as a renter and since 1974 as a property owner. I was involved in the Anholm neighborhood plans for a bikeway that would be workable for residents, walkers and cyclists of all ages and abilities. Our neighborhood plans, Alternative B, have not been given a fair, open and transparent evaluation by staff. Residents voices are once again being ignored by staff. Please require an EIR on the Anholm Bikeway and do not vote on this tonight. The proposed plans are abusive and dangerous to the health, safety and welfare of the Anholm neighborhood. Taking Climate Change into consideration, why in the world would the city want residents to drive twice as far to a grocery store, pharmacy or restaurant by forcing us to take indirect routes to reach our destinations? Please require the completion of an EIR prior to passing this along to the City Council because there are many unresolved issues, such as the traffic impacts on Palomar, Luneta and Serrano (especially with 71 Palomar project adding many vehicles) or the effects on the Safe Routes to School. As it stands, this entire project is being piecemealed and needs a holistic evaluation. Slow down and get this right; you're about to spend $3,000,000 just on this segment alone. Thank you. Sincerely, Cheryl McLean Mission Lane 1
