Special Meeting of the Active Transportation Committee
CALL TO ORDER
A Special Meeting of the San Luis Obispo Active Transportation Committee was called to order
on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Hearing Room, located at 990 Palm
Street, San Luis Obispo, California, by Chair Brooks.
ROLL CALL
Present: Committee Members Timothy Jouet, Briana Martenies, Paul Orton, Jonathan
Roberts, Vice Chair Ken Kienow, and Chair Leah Brooks
Absent: Committee Members Jenna Espinosa
Staff: Active Transportation Manager Adam Fukushima, and Recording Secretary Lareina
Gamboa

INFORMATION ITEMS
1. Anholm Bikeway Plan - Phase 1 Design Update
Luke Schwartz provided a PowerPoint presentation of design efforts for Phase 1 of the
Anholm Bikeway Plan and responded to Committee inquiries.

BUSINESS ITEMS
1. City Budget Goals - Final ATC Recommendations
Active Transportation Manager Fukushima provided a PowerPoint presentation and
responded to Committee inquiries in regards to finalizing the ATC City Budget Goals.

ACTION: UPON MOTION BY COMMITTEE MEMBER MARTENIES, SECONDED
BY COMMITTEE MEMBER KIENOW, CARRIED 6-0-1, to approve the amendments of
the Budget Goals recommendations and to support common goals of other committees.
COMMENT AND DISCUSSION
Active Transportation Manager Fukushima and Committee Members discussed updates regarding
the following:
a. Active Transportation Plan Update
b. Shared Active Transportation Devices
c. Agenda Forecast
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 8:01 p.m. The next Regular Active Transportation Committee
meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 17, 2018 at 6:00 p.m., in the Council Hearing Room,
990 Palm Street, San Luis Obispo, California.
