Hi Shauna, I was looking over tonight’s ARC agenda and noticed George Garcia is on for his Butler Hotel. I first read the
correspondences and thought what on earth is being planned, then when I reviewed the elevations I thought that is
actually very nice, the colors are different than what I may have chosen but I like it. As you know I had submitted a
development plan for this property then decided not to build and am now in the process of selling to George Garcia. I
am not insulted by the project and don’t think the angry responses and exchanges are warranted. For me
personally color and design is very subjective and each one of us has an opinion that may not necessarily agree with the
next person. As they say you can please most of the people most of the time but you can’t seem to please all of the
people all of the time and when it comes to architecture and colors in SLO we are quite unique in that respect.
That being said George has my support for the revisions of my original plans being submitted for 1185 Monterey Street.
