I want to thank the commissioners who voted against the 1185 Monterey project. At a time when the city is "uglifying"
in many areas, it is important for the ARC to stand up for city guidelines and harmony. Big boxes made of ticky tacky, all
the same, is not what we want in SLO. It is high time to stop this. I know you have been stripped of the power that
should belong to you, but I hope you keep opposing this type of lego-fits all that seems to have taken root here. It is not
only what has happened to aesthetics, it is also what has happened to decency and common sense.
