Hi Kasey,
Pursuant to Government Code section 6254(f), “Records of complaints to, or investigations conducted by…any
state or local agency....” are exempt from disclosure. See also Haynie v Superior Court (2001) 26 C. 4th 1063.
The report or any part of the investigation is exempt from disclosure. The Summary Sheet and Media Release
are all that can be disclosed for this case. If you look at the bottom of the Summary Sheet I provided, the
victim information is confidential per PC 293 since this is a crime where the victim can request confidentiality.
