Good afternoon,
My name is Jordan Kinser with ORDR (Open Records Data Retrieval) and I would like to make a request for a copy of
electronic records containing all residential and commercial building and sub/trade (mechanical, electrical, plumbing,
HVAC, etc.) permits applied for in San Luis Obispo, CA from August 1, 2014 to present. An example of the information I
am seeking would include, but is not limited to: permit number, issue date, location, permit type, status and a
description of the work done as well as contractor details and valuations.
Back in February 2017, your jurisdiction helped to provide my colleague Ariane Nelson an Excel (.xls) file (Building
Permits Issued) containing this permit information. I’ve attached a sample. I would appreciate receiving this same type
of document with the same fields of descriptive data, if available, for the requested timespan. If this format is not
available, we can accept any format as long as it contains the permit information—excluding that which is scanned or
printed.
If there are any fees associated with this request for electronic information, please send me a detailed invoice before
providing any records or performing any billable work related to this request. Please let me know if you have any
questions, or if there is someone else I can contact for this information. I thank you in advance for your help and look
